Accommodation |
The accommodation is over three floors and provides 21 rooms all with wash-hand basins and some with ensuite facilities. There is a TV point in each room and a passenger lift to all floors. There are bathrooms on each floor with a choice of bath or shower, whichever is more appropriate.
All the rooms are freshly decorated and refurbished before a new resident arrives and are specially adapted if necessary for their needs. Our aim is to make The Priory a “home from home” so new residents are encouraged to bring with them personal belongings such as photographs, ornaments, family mementoes and any treasured pieces of furniture we can accommodate.
There are two sitting rooms, both with a television, and a small internal courtyard where residents can sit in the fresh air. There is also a small patio area at the rear of the house where less vulnerable residents can sit and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the sun.
Meals are usually taken in the dining room but residents can choose to have meals in their own rooms if they prefer.
A Call Bell system operates in every area of the house so help is always at hand at the press of a button or the pull of a cord.

Central heating |
The Priory is centrally heated throughout. The elderly especially feel the cold and great care is taken to maintain a comfortably warm temperature all the year round.

Visiting |
Car parking spaces are available at the rear of the building and visitors are always welcome. They are provided with coffee or tea and cakes which can be taken in the resident’s own room or in the sitting room with the other residents. Visitors are welcome to join the residents for meals at any time.

Friendly atmosphere |
A friendly atmosphere is very important and we hope that friendships will develop and residents will enjoy being part of The Priory community. Activities and outings are arranged but no one is forced to join in if they don’t want to and everyone is free to spend each day as they wish.
