The Priory is dedicated to the care of people who have decided they can no longer manage in their own home. Everyone who decides to join us is treated as an individual and carefully assessed so that an agreed plan of care can be worked out. Clearly some residents require more help than others but all receive the same quality of care delivered by our staff under the direction of the Manager, Margaret Halls-Falconer.

The Priory is registered for elderly care, including Alzheimer’s, dementia, elderly frailties and physical disabilities.

Full 24 hour care provides assistance with washing, bathing and toileting, dressing and undressing, help at meal times and in moving from room to room. (If residents require aids to help them to move around we can arrange for them to be supplied). There is a lift serving all three floors.

Medication

Members of staff are trained in the handling of prescribed medication and will give the level of support required. The amount of help necessary will vary from person to person.

Our Staff

Mrs Halls-Falconer, who also has a degree in Hospitality Management, has put together an excellent team of bright and happy carers, caterers and ancillary staff dedicated to making The Priory a really nice place to live.

All our care staff are professionally trained to a minimum of NVQ2 and they receive on-going training in First Aid, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Lifting and Handling and Dementia Care.

Each resident is allocated a key carer who has a special responsibility for ensuring their comfort and well-being, who is there to listen if problems arise and to act as a channel of communication in case of need.

Depending on the accommodation we have available at the time of an enquiry, we can offer full-time residential care, convalescent care and respite care. Day care is at the discretion of the Manager.
