The Priory has a sister company called the Priory Home Care Service, bringing Care Services directly into peoples’ homes.

We understand that many elderly people prefer to stay in the familiarity of their own home surroundings, for as long as possible, before entering The Priory for full 24 hour care and support.

And we know that it can be hard, and that sometimes you just need a little help. 
Or sometimes, a lot of help. Or we can just come along for a chat, a cup of tea and a bit of company.

That’s why we provide professionally trained Care Staff who can visit your home and help you with all kinds of things:

Simple daily chores:-

Or more help with things like:-

• Getting up and going to bed
• Bathing and washing
• DressingMeals, Snacks & Drinks
• Medication / Toileting

The Priory Home Care Service offers personal care to all sorts of people in and around the Ottery area in their own homes.

Many people, especially the elderly, live alone and find many of the day-to-day chores and activities just a little too much to cope with on their own.  They need a little help and support for perhaps just half an hour a day to do those things they can't  quite manage any more – for example, heating up a meal, or help with getting in and out of the bath, or popping down to the shops, walking the dog, or perhaps a sleep-in over-night in case of any mishaps.

Sometimes the Carer needs help too!   Looking after an elderly relative at home is a challenging and ongoing task, and even carers need our help and support sometimes, even if its just to give them a short break.  Our Care Staff can do just that for you.

All the carers at The Priory Home Care Service are selected for their experience, commitment and compassion and are genuinely caring by nature.

We pride ourselves on being professional and all our carers undergo professional induction and training.

All our Care Staff are fully trained professionals with many years experience of visiting Clients in their Homes and helping in all kinds of situations.

They also undergo training in Health & Safety, First Aid, Food and Hygiene, dementia care, emergency procedures and other related matters.

All our Care Staff are local ladies, undergo a full interview and references are taken up to ensure absolute honesty and reliability of character; and the full (enhanced) Criminal Records Bureau checks are applied for.
